it's not so much the plasma climb, its more the fact that it was arbitrary and was like "wut, lol." once he just rails the guy.

I just thought it was a stylish and somewhat unexpected maneuver. the plasma climb WAS sorta irrelevant to the kill, but it was still a 'wtf' moment... one that I hadn't really seen before. There was another frag by Bob where he repeats the same sort of trick with a nade on dm6, but it didn't make it in... the video was supposed to be a bit longer, but since progress had slowed down to a halt, and the video was already more than a year old, just decided to finish it where it was before the footage got even more outdated.

That PG to rail was the most pointless action I have ever seen in a frag movie. I actually burst out laughing at how bad it was.

He was behind a pillar and couldn't see any enemies. The PG climb was purely reconnaissance -- spot target, land, fire and frag.

[In a similar vein, in q2 on dm1 if you're at the megaroom courtyard entrance and trying to rail an opponent camped at GL, you can just drop a handgrenade, switch to rail and snipe in air from the boost.]

He was behind the pillar because he walked up to it. He could have performed the same action by strafing left.

Literally no reason to perform the PG climb.

It was more the fact that I was being shot at by people on the otherside of the map, hiding behind there gave me cover and I knew a guy was going to come through the tele to get me. Instead of pillar dancing and trying to hit a pixel rail I just timed it and shot. No-one expects to be shooting at that point on the pillar so I figured they'd miss their shot from the otherside of the map. I was right, they missed, and I got a frag :)))
