The server was on that map for hours and hours. He had been working on it for days/weeks. During this instance, he was playing so long he went to get food and then came back. There were several failures late in the very last room. He had failed the very last jump at least once, on an even cleaner run.

It was quite a challenge.

The map was already made as a non-"torture" version with teleports so you wouldn't die if you fell. There were also separate maps with the 4 different rooms too.

Shio also tests these kind of maps if I'm not mistaken.. :D

Enter the world of DeFraG at q3df.org and breakdown-hq.com. Use TCPM's starter package. Or do it step by step, following the instructions, download maps, more maps, ~~even more maps~~ (offline). Master the techniques with the help of some tutorials, and hop on some servers to beat records. Remember that there are two movement physics available: vq3 and cpm.

We can hope that race in QL will bring soon some quality content as well due to it's ease of entry without all that hassle to prepare the game client and optimize the config for your needs :)

technically the movie is around 7. but the whole concept and skill of the player, and that the movie works only with 1 map. thats genius. visuals (the map), as minimal as they are, are fresh and unique. actually i feel a little tension when watching, fear of heights :)

I feel like I owe shio $20 after watching that.

I played defrag with CeTuS way back when so I know how hard this shit can be.

But damn man, fuck that was thrilling, especially that slip at 6 minutes, makes it seem more real.

I know gaz had scripts to teleport to separate parts of maps, to redo shit if he failed then he edited the demo together to make it look like 1 whole complete demo, and then some people had scripts for strafing (w3sp) and such

but if shio did this run, all in 1 demo with only human movement and normal server settings, than that was just the pinnacle of perfection.

I fucking love it.
