Zowie AM you mean?

I'm not sure - I 'thought' the EC series was newer? I've just been looking more at the shape and it looks like it has sides similar to the deathadder - I gave my deathadder away because of the slope on the right hand side of the mouse...

EC - DA/IME 3.0, AM - WMO/Abyssus.

Ah, thanks. So am I right in thinking they have the same sensors? and what about this 'evo' I'm seeing on some models?

Hm, Zowie AM looks exactly the same as the Kinzuadder I've just sold because it was too small for me :/

I switched from a WMO (mouse1 kept on failing for me...:( to a Zowie AM.

I absolutely love it.

I prefer the shape, the LOD is even lower, and the scroll wheel actually works and isn't glitched (there is a script workaround for this admittedly for the WMO/IE3.0).

These are the two drawbacks I've found:

The glides are really rather large and provide a lot of friction. However, after upping my sensitivity a little its balanced out. Am on the fence as to whether to replace them with some SS MS glides I have going spare.

The sensor does not work on icemats. Worked on every other pad that I've tried however.

Also, ever so slightly heavier than a WMO as well, but that really doesn't bother me.

As long as you don't use an icemat then it's well worth the money imo.

SS MS glides are for WMO/IME? Then how can you replace AM's with these (form is very different)?

They are tiny, you can stick MS glides to the bottom of almost any mouse.

They easily fit within the much larger grooves of the AM feet.

Thanks for the info :) can I ask, is the zowie am the same shell as the kinzu? I had a kinzuadder and it was a tad too small, arse end heavy and I didn't like where the sensor was - a little bit too far back. Isn't the am quite abit smaller than the wmo?

The AM is completely different from the low-front design of the Kinzu (the Kinzu and other SS mice are just gay like that).

It actually has a normal shape in terms of back vs front height.

Also huge skates means more friction and less glide, everyone has their own preference though.

By the way, I actually like the idea of the huge mouse skates on the am

ec1/2 original sensors have prediction.

ec1/2 evo sensor = am sensor (no prediction, pretty much perfect)

all have very low LOD as well

Hm, I'm actually fancing a Zowie AM... Just don't wanna fork out the 50 quid and be disappointed. I couldn't get on with the Kinzuadder I had, I loved it to start with but after a while the shape annoyed me. I didn't like where the sensor was and the whole thing felt a tad small. Also it felt unbalanced being more weighty at the back. The Zowie AM sounds a little more towards my liking and I love the idea of the sensor.

I moved from wmo to am and pretty much satisfied.
