I doubt he wouldn't. Defrag and cpm don't really have much in common. The physics in cpma are independant and 99% of the time take place at <700ups whereas in df you're pretty much always above that speed. Defrag is about gaining and keeping speed, cpm is about getting positions and dodging, none of which you can learn from df.

tbh, quakelive is pretty much of a shit game, however it has the competition, that's what actually makes it bigger than q3, I have nothing against ql gameplay if you think im a hater.

feel free to mention better multiplayer FPS games than ql/q3

dude ql is some kind of a joke, page goes down, nobody can play the game (it happened during events, how can a competitive game lack of lan support), you have to play for maps that we have been playing for ages (for free) in q3, no anticheat, feels artificial, etc...

the only good thing is that is newb friendly cos it autoupdates and so on... Obviously if i weren't playing q3 i would be playing ql, but there's this mod called edawn which has a ql ruleset, try it out and tell me which is better.

I agree with nzro here. Defrag with help with general movement skills, but cpm duel is much more than just jumping around.

You will fall with any newbies cup if you still use this shitty guide about how to install Cpma. Simple as that. It's a shame that none of recent cup include link to Pro Installer 2 - you can have Quake 3 1.32 + Cpma + CNQ3 + Maps + +Tools + Configs with a single mouse click.

Let me remind you: "Using this program can protect newcomers against more than twenty problems that prevent connecting to the online servers."

Installing a game shouldn't require you to watch a video. Sets quite a big burden for people who want to give it a quick try.

If you cant install the game, you wont be able to setup config. Making even more simple installer wont help...

This kind of installation protects us from jerks. Up to now, this is quite efficient (yeah, I know, it failed on me).

I know that Cpma doesn't have PB and verification is sometimes off but there are still some servers with PB and verification. Will you consider replacing this message to this:

Some QLers were interested in playing 22 or pukka because they could at least play on a map they know a bit, even if they are not QL veterans.
