and eswc 2004 aswell.. As far as i remember evil has allways been hyped, and so far hasnt delivered. But who knows maybe he have improved massively lately.

He's still not had that much international experience though to be fair. But he played his way to the top of the Russian scene back when it was big which is quite an achievement in itself when you look at all the good players it produced.

yes thats true, hes very very good, cant deny that. But ppl have allways like had the expectations that he will be a contender for 1st place after hes been very good online. But so far he hasnt been as good on lan, atleast not internationally dunno about russian lans tho.

Evil beat Rapha because of rapha having worse ping?

What was the ping difference? In case you weren't aware, Rapha is already in Europe training for DH.

He doesn't seem to be in great shape to me. Hopefully the extra time to train this week has helped and we can see some good matches at the tourney.

edit: Looking at QLranks, it looks like he's been practicing a shitload. Moved into the number one spot in world rankings.

Actually it looks like he's stomped on Evil four times today alone. :)

Wouldn't think anything of it, almost every european player has stomped evil in pracs.

I have a faint memory of rapha usually under-performing online before the tournies. Makes me wonder how meaningful it is that evil is beating rapha :o

means nothing you gotta consider that lan and online is a different game. e.g. strenx zotac and strenx qcon , same for evil online evil lan achievements

i haven't been able to watch any of rapha's practice matches due to work, but he seems to be winning practically all of them, including a few with cypher. that said, many of them are not with the top of the top, but still, a good sign that he's getting back into shape.

+ rapha-av3k toxicity match; evenly matched right up to the end.
