Would be better if for the team part of qcon they made it CTF/TDM and then CA or dom. Pretty much higher seed picks the gametype they play first then the other teams picks one of the other gametypes and if a tiebreaker is needed they play the other gametype that hasn't been played yet. Pretty much like that Triple Threat tournament from q3 years ago where instead of having CTF/TDM/iCTF you would remove iCTF for CA or dom would really shake things up a bit and we would find out who's the best clan in ql and not just the best in TDM or CTF.

Time constraints would never allow us to do that. Ideal as it may seem, we only have 2 full days of running tournaments. There would be no way to complete TDM, CTF, and 1v1 with the amount of time. Even if we could pull it off, the players would be so tired of playing all day that it would not be ideal for them. Now, give me 3 days and we can talk.

i doubt players will be really tired,maybe the duel players but others,i dont think so,the event is all for fun and for the quake players to compete in a high lvl and try to be the best,i personally dont mind playing all those hours in a big lan :)

I like the idea of using newer maps to show support for their support, in the hopes that they will then support the CTF players at qcon =(D

NA CTF is 4v4 too right? i think the mericans are more progressive towards new maps. stonekeep and reflux in a eu pool would be impossible.

you actually are quite good, just get a good streamer and have paid service so we can select the stream quality, half the shit you stream, i cant see on my ghetto 2004 pc, but its cool

tournaments however are run like shit here, we need a dedicated tournament to be run every week on saturday/sunday just like zotac, but not for cash (not yet) until we get some active user base to start playing and watching the NA games.

also, things will heat up cuz it is OFFICIAL. there is a working anticheat and it is very close to completion, i was tipped off by an ID member himself. i'm telling ya'll niggas cuz its already too late, all the cheaters have already been targetted, and assessed by the system, they are now fiddling with the actual banning phase, how it bans accounts and keeps hardware configuration ids and shit, this is why ppl were unbanned, cuz it fucked up there, hah.

nah im not that good. at least not in the last few events i did. largely because it wasnt a good time of the semester for me. lots of other shit going on that kinda stressed me out. partly also because i was streaming after a long time, on some new equipment so i was trying to make sure everything worked fine. resulted in a few hiccups that should never have happened. o wells.

i wish there was more team events tho. duels can get kinda boring. cos its the same players over and over. but then again id want to play in the team events. xD.

Celestial/ASMODEL is the biggest hacker in NA. No ID software employee told him anything. They were talking about an anticheat in one of the channels on IRC and someone said they had it on good authority that they are in the final development stages for an anticheat and they have been working on it for quite some time now and their goal is to have it up and running before qcon so in the next update which should hit in July.
