i will agree with you, that noone actually give a crap about the mode, but imo, now, there can be so many challengers for 'unbeatable' ch. therefore, interesting cups with close semis and the final

2v2 in ems for example is a thing that was force fed to us by a couple people and in the end it only fucked the community and esl.ql both and now there's no ql in ems at all...

im one of the few 'active' 2v2 players, it takes 2-3 hours to find a game and there's less than 20 players total playing. even during the prime of 2v2 in ql the amount of players involved was miserable and putting any sponsor effort into 2v2 (besides a showmatch) is wasted, it should be put into better use if anyone gets a chance to get sponsors involved.

i just always thought bringing 2 players to play together are much easier than 4

2bad, because 2v2 is fun to play/watch... and it takes both individual and teamplay skills to compete on high level :\ so it makes switching from 1v1 to 2v2 is more suitable that from 1v1 to 4v4 imo

Buddy and me currently try to find some 2v2 opponents (pickupchannel) because we prefer it over 4v4.
The thing is that 2v2 is almost dead. If we get lucky we'll find some one the spot but usually I post in the pickup channel without any success.
Dunno why 2v2 is so unpopular maybe because it doesn't take much to get raped whereas in 4v4 equal skilled teams don't hit the mercylimit before the 10 min line :P
