evil hit everything on t7. he also surprised strenx with the positioning he had on t7 on that ledge right at the beginning. we all know how important the first red armor is on t7. so there you go. when strenx had a nice stack he had like 2 full rockets and a rail and was basically screwed. that was his comeback time but he screwed up. all the other attempts failed because he was impatient.

the first one is also very important

the fight for the 2nd red (as it spawns 10s earlier than MH) determines who is in control usually in 1v1

dunno if ur aware, but every second red spawns 10 seconds earlier than mh :D

then you should get the config i have that you and yakumo talked about in theory on the forums but could never get to work right in reality......hahah..., that Salamatiqus, the russian mod, got working perfectly for me.

The whole ql config theory about making LG a lower sens only while holding down the fire button, is really great.

Unfortunately I must be the only guy in ql who uses this type of config......which I learned from ql. and yes it helps me tremendously.

Kind of unrelated, but we did:

alias LgFire "+attack; sensitivity [lower]"

Replace [regular] with the normal sensitivity you wish to use.

Replace [lower] with the lowered sensitivity you wish to use when shooting the lightning gun.

Replace [key1] through [key8] with what keys you use to select each weapon.

Replace [firekey] with the button you use to shoot, such as mouse1.

the main reason why this doesn' work is because you can't hold your button down when switching weapons. things get glitched.


so what Salamat set up for me.....was after switching from lg to another weapon........i have to repress button to fire that weapon.

in other words i can't hold down the button during a combo.... but have to repress it again....no matter what cfg you use.


which was a little awkward at first but its fine because.....well in ql there is no fast weapon switching anyways...so its not taking any longer....and i have plenty of time to time it or spam the button, which is actually automatic and natural for me now.


go back to your forums on the subject. read the replies of all the posters that had problems with it. and then read the fixes by salamatiqus....that guy is great.


unfortunately salamatiqus....who ran the quakelive russian site.... I dont' think even plays anymore either. This community is trash...no real person stays for long in it....without compromising their principles or their soul....:(


you obviously never played with this setup like you said you did. Your a liar....but i'm not here to flame you..... i'm here to help other people who might benefit from this. Its really great....one of those things you wished was possible in q3, that could benefit alot of new players.

I did test it, works fine for me.

While holding fire I can switch weapons, and it will continue firing, albeit with the new weapon's sensitivity.

If you could clarify what behavior you are looking for I should be able to script it provided it is actually possible.

I personally emailed lorfa my cfg 3 times...he couldn't get it working right so i gave up on him....salamatiqus is actually the guy who got it working for me.... with a very simple yet practical solution.

i thought you should correct your errors lorfa....maybe i knew you wouldn't admit it, but its a shame...you help noone that way.

ignore all of yakumos and lorfas posts in that big LG thread on the ql forums....they are all theory. read salamatiqus's replies...they are correct and reality. I emailed him my cfg also.... can never thank the guy enough.

even till this day...if ql plugin crashes....on the next game my lg will not work.....until i rejoin the server from the browser specifically.

and my ty bind...still does not work every other game for some odd reason lol. but those are minor and meaningless.

actually salamatiqus is why i'm playing ql in the first place. According to lorfa and especially Yakumo...lmao....my ql was totally crashing every other game due to my hardware video drivers lol.

totally ignoring the fact it happened on anybody's machine, with any software and hardware. It was a bug in my account.

What are you talking about? This script does not suffer from the same bug as the one I sent in Oct, 2010.

I test everything I post/send. I didn't notice it had the bug at the time because I am so accustomed to releasing/repressing the attack key when switching weapons.
