creating a new thread is not needed when replying to another thread, a simple comment would do just fine.

see, this happened by accident.

i scrolled down the original thread and since i was logged out i got the log in form below a post reply textfield. i hit post there to get logged in and got to a 'post length <1 character' error page. there i filled in my reply and hit post and it got created as separate thread instead of appended to the original one.
