As for deciding the winner: every contributer should also vote for who should be #1, #2 and #3 after all Movies are available - excluding his own product

i like your idea but its one hell of efford and idk if the community aint to small already for such a thing.

also i would like it if all the Movies share a restriction - like they have to use a certain song and have to be exactly that long (like 3:10 or smth) but maybe thats just me ^^. but this way the cup would get a more serious character and also noone would Be able too just use a project that was going to be released anyway

or maybe just 1 minute so that'd be more easy for everyone, and more people would try

and yeah it'd be a big project, and I think a time limit on the video would be best (max 5 mins), but nothing like same music and frags. anywho, was just tossin' the idea out there. I think it'd be sweet but yes very hard to oversee/manage

moviemaking is about specific moviemakers, not countries :S

Great ideea, but is really hard to get this going, becouse it's not likely that in every country is at least one movie maker.
I see this going much easier like this:
- several movie makers show their enthuziasm to work on this project.
- make a majored topic where you anounce that you need frags from every country for epic nations movie
- for every nation, chose a representative who will take the responsabilty to announce this in his own country via main community sites / facebook groups etc.
- after this project is promoted, give a datelimit for submiting demos
- nation representative will collect all demos (maybe even watch them to assure the content is what it should be), archive them in a predefined format (name/frag time etc) and give them to movie makers.

Doesn't have to be necessary a contest, i see this like an epic promotional quake live movie.

And there I thought someone is hosting a QL movie making competition. Anyway, the idea is pretty cool I guess.
