The Grande Finale of the CSN playQUAKELIVE series will be held this Sunday, 18:00 CST, 13 November 2011. The bracket features the top 2 players in America -

rapha and

ZeRo4, as well as chance, rey, mavlp and coveryfire.

$400 is up for grabs in this final Cup in the playQUAKE Points Cups series. And making a come back to Quake coverage for the first time in over a year is none other than the crew from One More Game TV -

djWHEAT and

Slasher!!

Will we see a rematch of rapha vs ZeRo4 from Cup #2 (VOD)??? Or will we see a challenge from the other four participants? Be sure to tune in and find out.

The whole point of the playGAMES series is to play. That's how you gain points. We not only had playQUAKE but also have playSTARCRAFT, playHoN, playLoL and playCOD. The entire series being points based was to encourage people to play.

ehm... I actually didn't play in multiple because I don't want to take a place in any usa tournament that has a limited amount of places.
Imo the usa scene should reward 'new/motivated' players more, and qualifying for a tournament is a nice reward imo.
Also I'm not sure if me parttaking in the finals would really be a 'great addition' ;)

Next to that I feel that quake on high ping is not the same quake I play on low ping. It messes up my opponents too much.
Funny enough this is a reason for the EU scene to whine and bitch about me....

You had to play in one of the qualifier cups to make it to the finals. Neither of them showed up for any of them. I get the feeling that Dahang is through with quake live, and czm is in Switzerland people keep saying.

i'm promoing this on the TwitchTV front page, so that helps as well. But a lot of SC2 fans and djWHEAT fans showing up to watch Quake.

rapha`s form isn't bad, you just can't win against player with such good aim and gameplay. Rapha is best QL player, becose he is so stable, but he don't have super factors, like insane rail, or insane lg, or insane control, or insane +forward. He is strong in all these factors, thats why he is best. but if some player can overplay VERY MUCH in 1 or 2 of these factors, he lose.

All 3 players use sensitivities lower than 40cm/360 but use accel - killsen actually not that much but he makes it looks like he has a fuckton of it anyway.

I think accel applies to what ischju meant. It's somehow more exciting when the player makes jerky mouse flicks when moving around, which cooller and killsen certainly do. Avek not that much, but his game is enjoyable to watch for different reasons.

After being used to good live tactical analysis from the likes of 2gd, calipt , rapha, av3k, zsx, ischju etc, it's fun to notice how wheat doesn't really know wtf he's talking about :D

Still, he's done so much for Quake that I think this is pretty much irrelevant; and him bringing in the SC ppl is awesome.

because all casters are "cpt. obvious", even the ones 2pak mentioned. It is the nature of the game. It�s too fast for deep live tactical analysis.

If u disagree pls point to a vod and time to look at. I am curious to see what is this famous so called tactical analysis that casters like djWHEAT fail to do.
