Looks like a war between id and aimbots.net. Aren't they the ones giving out free cheats? Well in a way this can be seen as a positive as it shows id is perhaps finally getting serious about cheating. There's no way that little forum can beat id though lol, so they just screwed themselves with that attack.

I haven't tested that aimbots.net thing but if their item timer works like the one in wolfcam its not very useful. Item pickups are only registered if you're close to the opponent so you could as well hear the pickup sound.

well they can use "analog" item timer by asking a person to time for them anyway. its not that big of a deal really, and money is in LAN anyway.

the item timer hack also times for pickups that you cant see

Yeah, that post is almost two weeks old, which is like a year in internet time.

Plus I seriously doubt a legitimate company would be participating in or endorsing DDoS attacks against anything. Although it would be pretty funny if game companies got together with some good lawyers and found some sort of legal ground to go after cheating assholes on. I'd like to see someone get caught cheating in a paying tournament, then get charged with fraud.
