I use rather low sens (1.4 - 2) but with 2000 DPI and 500hz USB. Also using only wrist to play.

I'm using a Qck+... works fine. If you like cloth pads maybe just buy another one? My first one lasted about 4 years during q4

I guess you never realised it because your sens is a bit high but don't, just don't use black cloth pads with the G500. I own one and it's probably the best sensor I've tried (people overreacting on pos accel when it's really not a problem) but it is flawed on QcK+ and afaik on other black cloth pads. You are getting neg accel because of it.

The best mousepad I tried was a teflon sheet. A fench guy used to sell some under the name Slideup. Not sure if anyone thought about producing more of these, the guy started it as a diy and improved it to sell it. I wanted to find a link for you but unfortunately his wholesaler went down. I used it for a while and it was great but a bit small for my sens (no 40*40).

teflon pads feel cold and expensive. i bought one years ago it was a fail. also after some use there was this big spot in the middle some kind of wear and tear.

alternatives to cloth path are not good imo and expensive (teflon, glas, hard plastic).

You may be true about the cold feeling and expensive. I didn't mind the feeling too much and got the pad for something like 25€ shipped so it was ok for me regarding these. I thought a diy could even cost less.

About the wear and tear I'm more surprised. Teflon was slightly eroded but it only made the pad smoother and didn't move much more than this in five month.

Main issue would have been the sweat dirtying it a bit, forcing you to clean it up at times.

Flaw of G500 is the fact that it's not friendly with most common mousepads.

Hate hard pads. Not so much the feeling of them, but the noise. I used to just use my desk and the people I lived with were ready to kill me after a day or two.

My vote goes for Puretrak Talent or whatever the smaller version is called. Even if you're not using all of that space, its super cushy and comfortable so you can turn it sideways and lay your whole arm on it. My cat sleeps on mine when I'm not home.

The only one right choice is roccat taito. This mousepad pwns all the way.

After buying a few cloth pads at various prices and having them all wear out at different rates i finally started using a plain self adhesive vinyl floor tile,cheap,cheerful,long lasting,easy to clean,doesn't move and it's slippy.
