It has been a while since this website didn't receive an UT2004 new, so here we are!

zYme clan creates a 1on1 UT2004 cup with some cashprize. The idea come to life with Haydnn and SaRs some days ago and everything goes really faster. As we don't have enough money to create our own website, the tourney will be hosted by tourney.cc. If this tourney works well, we should make it weekly or every two weeks with the same cashprize.
We're also searching for a sponsorship.

So far, players like

GoHLinK

ScrMz

astz!

rmzs and

kiLLzA joined the tourney. So far there are 51 signs up. There'll be a coverage done by

lozZz (stream and shoutcast).

ScrMz who defeated in 3 maps GoHLinK in the final! He's the winner of the 50� this time.

but the news is there: zYme cup #2 will be play the Sunday 3th of April with this time more cash for the winner ! A news about this will come soon on ESReality :)

Will probably play. Will be my first UT 2004 competition so probably won't survive the first round but every 1on1 FPS is worth supporting it.

PS: Someone knows where I can find DM-Reverse-SE, did not find it in the unrealnorth-database and too lazy to search myself.

I think SE = special edition.

And it's not so special at all, afaik the one on Unrealnorth is the same map, maybe it's little things as trigger sounds(ramp sounds and whatnot) that is alittle different, so if you want to practise the map just download the one off unrealnorth, most servers don't even have the SE i think.

And if that doesnt satisfy you, just boot UT04 and join a random duel server and vote the map, downloading of UT2004 goes very smooth.

No it's not. Comparing to Quake is kinda bad cuz Quake has more "dead" games in general. UT2k4 would be something like QW cuz it still has quite a lot of players playing it (What is actually shown by the ammount of sign-ups in only what 2/3 days?). UT99 could be compared to Q3/Q2, still some people playing but not really many and UT3 definitely is Quake 4, like 8-16 players playing it when a tourney is there but noone cares abut playing it just for fun. Sadly there is no Quake Live counterpart in UT atm or I would drop QL instantly.

youll get kicked on servers with anticheat otherwise~ (which is all competitions and most non-demo servers)

#ctf.pickup << the official UT2004 nwCTF channel. It�s not active.

There is some other community incentive by either [TIME]-Clan or Saint-Clan, where people sign up via a forum for a weekly pickup each Sunday for five maps � 20 minutes. The active players are between 10-14, where 5v5 nwCTF with 2 defenders and 3 attackers is played. Unfortunately I don�t know the IRC-channel atm, but as soon as I get to know that, I�ll edit this entry and update you.
