ESL Quake Live Division has been working hard to give players something new. We are very pleased to say that the Quake Live admins had a talk with id software and came to a commitment for the next cup.

Id Software has agreed to donate PRO keys for Quake Live. There will be a total of 7 duel cups! The Top 3 winners from each Quake Live Cup will receive a PRO KEY for 3 months, courtesy of id software. So get ready to battle and win!

Stay tuned for the upcoming cups and for your chance to win the Pro Keys from id Software. We look forward to you being there!

The problem with that is most people in shape and good enough to win a key will probably already have an account for a year:/

Saying that I dunno why peeps need prizes to play games they supposed to enjoy:/

Premium accounts are allowed to enter as well, as far as I know. But it's preferred for mostly standard players, so I assume the map-list will be standard (ztn, dm6, dm13, t7, t9, etc)

You should consider making that deal for European players also.
It has its worth as a marketing scheme in America where quake live did acquire some of its player base but is lacking with fresh meat.

European player should get the same deal because they do have more action going on. More players, more steady playerbase too keep up with and keep satisfied

you could always notify a EU admin of your talks and ask id about worldwide options :)

great job getting the pro keys in any case, just share the love.
