Reaching Higher Grounds by

Djordje 'zeroql' Simonovic, presented by

fragster, is a Quake Live Ramp Jump Tricking Movie on Stock Maps.

Ramp Jumps can be enabled on private servers, modifying Chain Jumps by adding jumping speed to the normal vertical speed boost when performing closely timed jumps and were introduced to QL with the Update on October 26, 2010.

ah yeah, just realized those aren't possible with default settings.. pulling off some of these team jumps in tdm would be pretty neat - one would probably never find the time to stand still for 5-10 seconds in a real match though.

the editing was awesome though which made it a little more exciting, but even though i'm sure these jumps take alot of skill it just isn't interesting to watch

The quality was superb, video looked crisp and this video is a great showcase why ramp jumps need to stay out of competitive QL (not that there were any plans to make it so but whatever, still nice for tricking)

Props for the effort to find test and train all this jumps.

it features the triple jump in winters edge from railgun respawn to the upper rocket. I thought no one else would discover that jump.
Also it's incredibly useful and yet not very hard to pull off.

it isnt hate. its just objective commentary. by tricking movie standards it isnt very good.

however i still like it cos im hoping that players who aren't familiar with double/ramp jumps will see the potential and maybe just maybe we could have more people in favor or making this default physics (once some issues are fixed).

Yeah, but those settings were consistent and you could enable overbounces on some servers (callvote pmove). This seems equivalent to increasing sv_gravity until you can reach a ledge, maybe not though

Seems like you didn't understand it. You need to pay, if you want to spawn private servers. And as an additonal feature you can change the movement settings for those servers.

Holy shit this is terrible, its completely retarted that you can jump almost in totally vertical angle, to make rampjumping even some level usable in competive gaming it should be altered so that you can only do it from spots where you gain more horizontal speed than vertical speed...
