something really strange is happening with my mouse..

often when I'm click+dragging to select something, the selection will just dissapear and it'll register as a single click once i release.

I did get a message a little while back that 'the USB device has stopped working.'

Any advice? I REALLY don't wanna replace this mouse T_T
