same players & maps every other week in duel lans, twice a week in the 100€ cups, how about a bit of change with tdm or ctf for a lan?

At the same event you'll also get so see the ENC finals, which have QL TDM.

No one cares as much about TDM and CTF at a competitive level to host a LAN tournament about it.

Well I care and I want to see thoses players competing on lan. The scene and interes in ctf and tdmt is way too small that esl would consider it to make it a big game in iem. Trust me you will never see neither tdm nor ctf in iem.

No, they won't. There are plenty of team shooters which have a higher interest than tdm or ctf. I watched the quadgaming tournament and it had like 500 viewers or something if I remember correctly. Furthermore iem does already have a team fps with counterstrike and I doubt that you'll ever have the same amount of interest and viewers for tdm and ctf. Tdm is for non quakers boring and not so easy to get. ctf might be a possebility but it's kinda boring to see one or two flag captures in 20 minutes.

QL is a main title of the IEM season once again. Since they got CS already there is no space for another team mode game, so why not 1on1?

yeah true, and im glad there are any lans for QL. but it seems the duel market is so over saturated atm these tournaments seem very ordinary now :/ duel being so hard doesnt help, since we just basicly see the same players every time. atleast we're getting new maps soon, hope we atleast give the _NEW_ ones a shot aswell instead of just the old ones that are being added

i get your point and i have to agree. it's getting boring seeing the same players all the time. but hey, after quake 4 people thought the time of the duel games in the esport scene are over :)

I think the proper way to go is to make either zotac or gdata or both take the tdm/ctf/2on2 route.

yeah cycling teammodes for one of them would be awesome, 2on2 first weekend, ctf next, 4v4 tdm third, start from the beginning... it probably would have to be zotac cause its hard to get 3 team mates on a saturday :D but i guess it could work out since its during afternooon

Whoever wins can use the $100 to get "started" :D

strenx will have to play a team game to make his weekly allowance!

Funny, QL gets promoted big time and ID doesn't seem to give a shit about it. After all there were only minor changes in all the years (only two new maps) and spectator-wise it is still far behind from CPMA VQ3.

i think there is 3 entirely new maps but i dont know if they are duel maps.

Depends what you mean by id, I think the team working on the game does care, but they don't get any support from the wider company because they make no money.
