I still find it amazing that Rapha can own so hard without any good training partners.

This is also one reason to respect Rapha, his mental game is so solid that he doesn't need to rely on practicing on pros to sharpen it.

I hate to say this, I really do, but the only person that ever made an impression on me in NA other than Rapha, was Walter.

He had great aim and map knowledge and pretty much perfect timing and movement, but was never a threat. It seemed like he was too stupid in strategy/position tactics to actually do any real damage.

cha0ticz is the ultimate "rise to the occasion" player. One minute he's losing to jochs, the next minute he's beating dkt.

Most of the 'new blood' listed aren't very new. Tehnewbz, judge, rey and plague have been around for years. Also, walter was very much a threat from 2005-2007, but only online.

i think that 'fresh blood' list are the few duelers putting 10,15,20+hrs a week into qlive still (excluding me of course, i play 2 hours a week). the oldies that kind of suck list are the players who don't really play at all anymore.

What's wrong with putting 8-10 hrs into quake a week? At least it's not WoW =)

The structure, as long as an interview during the IEM Cup on Monday night, should answer all of your questions on how the IEM will work for us here in N. America.
