It's time for the Lower Bracket Final of the Ownage QuakeWorld duel tournament.

13:00 CDT - LocKtar vs Bulat (Bet)

Tonight, three times DreamHack Champion

LocKtar will get a chance to fight his way back into the Ownage Grand Final, where the finnish quake-star

Milton is waiting. But before LocKtar can get his rematch, he has to go through the tatarian aim machine

Bulat whose deadly 50% lg might be too much for LocKtar to handle. Predictions say that LocKtar is the favorite on dm4 and dm2, while Bulat got the odds for ztndm3 and dm6 so we might get to see a 5th map decider on aerowalk.

With your logic i guess ye. I was trying to say that every millisecond counts. Internet argument fuck yeah! And no the netcode is fine :) you can have antilag enabled if you want on screen hits with instant hit weapons.

The qw netcode is awesome. You forget that the people he would be playing in nu ping like 13, and 60 vs 13 definitely feels a bit disadvantaged. It would in any fps game though.

His lg on dm6 was pretty spectacular at times, I was switching povs but the other maps didn't impress me that much.

You have to think about the speed and fire-rate differences between quake live and Quakeworld. Quakeworld players move a lot faster, fights end a lot more quickly, and the lg only fires 10 times per second, making it a lot easier to miss completely.

In terms of raw numbers, 30% in a duel is pretty solid (most tend to finish in mid-high 20s), but Bulat managed to finish at least two games over 40% against one of the fastest and most aggressive players the scene has to offer. That's pretty much unheard of.
