Sadly the biggest forum (OPC) which included tons of runs and freestyle demos was taken down.

One question. I just installed Defrag but when I try to play on vanilla_01 or any map I get "Bad game system trap 42"

I use cnq3.exe

EDIT: Problem fixed. It works with quake3.exe :D

cnq3 kind of only supports cpma

Think they're disallowing all custom executables anyways.

Thanks bro. Are they 1st person demos? I downloaded some demos from http://breakdown-hq.com/ and they were 3rd person.

All demos are first person. When you click Demos in the main menu, set 'Replay' to 'OFF'.

Edit: I think the cvar is /df_demos_replayMode 0

df_demos_cameraMode 0
df_ghosts_MiniviewDraw 0 (removes advanced window)

Hmm I can do a 600ups 1st jump without problems. Normally you do less wtith normal cpm and cpma/ql phyiscs. Why they made it easier?

Actually I'm a bit confused. I started this map vanilla (dunno what number) and at the beginning my 1st jump was around 450ups then after 30sec or so I was doing 550+ on 1st jump. wtf?

Me to so don't worry - try to find route by yourself, try to find some shortcut by yourself and record the best time that you can do :-]

Note: Second rule of Defrag says that you best time can be only archived only after you spend at last 3 hours of playing and you played at last 3 days at one map.

So how is this going to work?

"in a way similiar to DFWC04" is not really that informative for someone who wasn't participating back then.

One map - one play week. 6 maps for competition + 1st map for fun = 7 at all. Before any play week ends you have to send a demo with your record.

Why the need for a new site though? Registering twice == fail. Should have just used regular breakdown-hq login imo.

Every player can sign up to participate in one (VQ3/CPM) or two physics either as a member of one team or solo player.
• Player can use his regular nickname as well as fake one. In that case dfwc2010 administration must be informed about change of nickname. (ICQ 2224722 or [email protected]).
• Player is not allowed to play under more than one nickname.
• Team consists of two people who play different physics. Team's score is calculated as a total time of both players.

A qualification round will be held after registration is complete. All registered players are allowed to take part in this round. This round will be the easiest. We will define number of championship contenders judging by the results of this round.

Then the main part of the championship will take place. It consists of 6 rounds. Rounds are sorted by difficulty in increasing order. After each round some players will be eliminated. Exact number of participants of every round will be announced after the qualification.

Breakdown-HQ isn't hosting a QL FFA cup, so I don't think that'll happen =/
