For cpma, maybe check the vm_game / vm_cgame / vm_ui
cvars - they may need to be set to 1 to work with a mod.

mhh nope, doesn't work. but i don't think that's the problem. you also can't run (baseq3) demos from the menu, you have to type it into the console. so maybe i just need to find the right command to start cpma from the console.

set fs_game "cpma"

However I don't believe you can change it via the console, it must either be done from software, or from the commandline when launching it.

i could run demo4 from the menu atleast in baseq3.. also osp worked, watched some old demo of mine on it. haven't tried cpma

Yup, I did.

If you put your demo in baseq3/demos it should change on its own when loading it. As long as they didn't change anything inside the code to stop it, ofc.

Thanks for a bump. I recently got Galaxy S Plus and just tried installing this shit. Opened default demo four.dm_68 using "Demos" section - it works! Fucking awesome. Will try to get cpma work :D

It's a shame I can't open the console or type anything, I think it only works with qwerty-keyboards :X

Also I couldn't make cpma to work (watch demos). You can pick it from "Modes", load it, but really nothing happens - just cursor changes to cpma style and when you try to run a demo it says smth about demo belonging to cpma-1 not baseq3-1.

quake 5 should have a real phone you can use ingame. like a fully emulated android phone. then you can play quake 3 on it. this way, everyone will play quake 5 to play quake 3, saving the community!

Ye, I played it on n95 8gb... the controls was way better. You can actually play the symbian version without wireless keyboard.

Has anyone got cpma to work on their android phone? I've tried with kwaak3 and quake3droid but neither will load the mod. cant scroll up to see the errors =\

you can do /condump <filename> in console as i remembered but..

I got it. Here's how.

You'll probably need a usb cable to connect it to your comp.

Open your q3config.cfg and autoexec.cfg and change the vm_game/cgame/ui variables to 1.
Make sure to do this with configs in the quake3/cpma folder also.
Next you need to set every config to readonly (rightclick>properties>readonly) I did this from in Windows 7, you could probably do this from an android terminal with chmod but I don't have that.
Now start quake3droid (and probably kwaak3 also), go to mods and load cpma!
