Not really, there's solutions to these things, I'm not naive enough to think they'll be happening any time soon but it is possible for us to overcome issues like overpopulation (at least up 'til a point.) But for the time being I think it's better to promote better health longer (so people can still be useful as they're getting older) and maybe focus less on encouraging people to get married and have children which is the problem in the first place really isn't it?
