ClanBase announces 20th Season (75 comments)

Update: Signups are now open.

Monday evening

ClanBase announced their 20th season with the incoming EC/OC Fall 2009 Cup season. This time 5 EuroCups and 55 OpenCups over a total of 24 games (including QuakeLive and the soon-to-be-released Wolfenstein) are planned:

No prizes were announced so far. There is a note about the next NationsCup season which should be announced this year, after the Fall season.

no private servers kinda kills the team aspect. its just a pain in the arse getting practise games. where as in 1v1 any public server will do.

pretty much any league can get private servers now, I don't think that would be a problem for matches...however for team practices/scrims yeah you are right :(

Clanbase has private servers, although I see what you're getting at.
It's big problem not beeing able to play a pcw without random players getting into the server.

Yea UT99 would be the proper decisions but we all know you won't do that. So be a bit sane and chose UT2004 even though its just a lose version of a great original.

how do you know anything about me? I've never even seen your name before.

and more like i wont because UT2004 is the first game I played online and is the first game I joined a clan for (and are still a part of that same clan) so I have strong feelings towards it...probably a similar situation with you and UT99 so stop being a hypocrite.

Moreover UT99 doesn't have TAM (which is now my main gametype after CTF quietened down) and combined with UT3 still doesn't have a community size to rival 2k4.

Sorry.
I prefer Unreal, compared to the shit that has tournament as a part of its name. I think the weapons are way better. I did what I could and ended up in Quakeworld, trying not to be a hypocrite.

Enjoy UT2k4, please give the game some love it needs it compared to QL.

Hm... If im not wrong, on the last QL update, they added timeouts and some stuff for private servers only but... When someone, for ex, an ESL admin, launches a server for u to play a TDM match, u dont have the rights to use timeouts, or team lock...

Server says "U dont have permission to do that".... Why the hell ID adds something that u cannot use?!?!??!?!

PS: I think this is a good oportunity for ID to give something new to TDM and make it a playable mode for comps

The sad part is that 1on1 have replaced TDM. When it comes to quake I prefer living in the past, the first few Eurocups were great, Open cup just isnt the same.

Although calling it EC instead of OC would probably not change anything, the days of TDM seem to be long gone and id have done nothing to not make it so.

Edit: Just to clarify, I couldnt care one bit about any prizes and internet final is as good as LAN final imo.

It's still soo randomized in some way, need better maps and maybe disable dropweapons, we can't really figure out some positional strategy for tdm, it's just Team Based FFA! ffs.... and oh ID MAKE SOME FUCKING TDM MAPS.
