Part of the fun was seeing the game and the players evolve from match to match instead of minute refinements to well known tactics.

(yes, this is lobbying for an ever changing map pool)

Indeed!
I wouldn't turn down another fast fps either, as long as it's good enough.
But I would guess that is just as unlikely as a change of map pool.
