60Hz, 1600x1200 4:3 on a 16:10 lcd. crt's are so smudgy compared to lcd's, the only thing good about crt's are the black levels and the speed/smoothness of it.
I'm cba to lift my 19" crt out of the closet, it's too blurry. but gaming q3 on it is pretty good, think I used to play at r_mode 6 at 100Hz back in the days, nowadays it's a bit blurry playing q3 on my lcd... but damn the colours and clearness of lcd just beats the pants off any crt out there! besides, 2ms isnt all that bad. oh well.

60hz is really awful. can't run 75hz at a slightly lower resolution?

it's an lcd. 60hz is default and even smoother than 120hz crt's. you should try it. no more 'screen covered in vaseline' kinda blurry crts.

sorry, I didn't explain myself clear enough. it's smoother running desktop apps, NOT games.

You run everything at default? I run my LCD at 75hz and it's a crappy one. Despite the fact that 60hz was default I went a little crazy and upped it to something that wouldn't let my head explode, such as 60hz. And no it's never, ever smoother than 120hz crt.
