I WAS 110 since I can remember.

But, after reading a bit about FOV, and what most competitive players use, I went down to 100. I can't say if my LG increased dramatically, but, I think the depth perception is a bit better.

I've been using 100 for few years in all Quakes, but about a 1,5 year ago (or so) I switched to 110 and it felt a lot better, so I wouldn't switch it now to anything else. Nevertheless 100 should be on default in all Q games.

Recently I tried to play few games on 90 (Cypher's cfg), just to check how is it like, and man, I don't get how people can play on such a value now days.

i'd like to think my movement is pretty decent, but with 90fov i was hitting walls left and right, couldn't corner clip to save my life, etc.
i don't see myself going over 105-110, if i ever decide to play around with something else

I find that I have better aim with low fov, mainly because I'm aiming at bigger targets. All my hitscan percentages have improved a little since I changed from 105 to 95 recently. Difficulties from low fov for me are my movement gets clumsy, it's easier for players to sneak up me, and it can be hard to track a bouncing opponent when they are right up close to you.

Personally, I find playing with low fov good in duel because most of the time you know where the enemy is so the narrow fov isn't so troublesome. But in game types when there are many enemies in the game at once, I start to have difficulties seeing all the action that is happening.

I use 110, most comfortable for me.

I played using 360fov with a friend on lan once, was totally awesome. :D

different fov for different weapons. Also, it varies when i play vq3 compared to CPM. vq3 is 107 and changes with certain weapons, but for CPM i use 120 for all but rg and lg.

I was 120 for a good while. Took a break, and came back and it was too fisheyed, so I went to 110 for awhile too. 90 is simply unacceptable for me, so I've found my comfort zone at 105.

95 for me. Perfect movement and aim.

I always used something between 100 - 115.

I love 120 so much, but I can't aim in the first place, and fov 120 made it even worse, so I went to 110, I still lose bouncies in rocket cqb's sometimes though, but it got my shaft up above 20% :DD

20% shaft is low :> u need to get atleast 30 tbh :P

its easier to correct aiming mistakes with low value
with something as high as 120 u feel like aiming on target when the crosshair is a bit off from it
watch some demo; first with 90 and then with 120 u get the false feeling ur aiming better with 120

The config i use in my profile has been working really good for me online lately especially in ztn games really hope i can get a game vs python again soon just to see if my registration against leet kents is back on. damm aussie netcode doomswitch.

at first 90, then switched to 100 (because europes best q2 duel player used it :-)). But I played also better this way, more dynamic :-)

Funny...since switching to 90 fov (from like 107), my shaft has improved significantly and my rail is more consistent. Rockets are considerably better, too.

Problem is, now, I can't rocketjump very well. I'm also moving slightly worse (not nearly as worse as previous times that I've tried 90 fov, strangely enough) and getting sneaked up on slightly more often. It's a good tradeoff, though, for the much better aim.
