I wouldnt use it on the match server - that caused WSVG Dallas some problems trying to do that.

However you can record them with a chained Q4TV with little risk (if it failed, it'd only be me who missed the game, and no demo). :)

regretfully, i could not find any instructions how to start my own q4tv repeater anywhere. all i've got is id's q4tv_readme, which has some cvars, but ot was unsufficient.
I tried a repeater config

Then, when i try to connect to it vith client, it sayes "No map runnig"

You probably connected to the gameserver port, not the repeater port. Your client should be something like: +connect localhost:28104, cos the default 28004 is the game port. I didnt bother with any kinda configs, I just used:

quake4ded.exe +set fs_game q4max +set net_spawnrepeater 2 +connect 194.109.69.240:28104

quake4.exe +set fs_game q4max +set r_fullscreen 0 +set fs_savepath "E:\viewer" +set net_spawnRepeater 0 +connect localhost:28104
