Iam not very into it atm, but I think there's even fewer active q3 1v1 players than q4 1v1 players. A lot of people pubbing ra3 etc though.

About the same in SA, but we did have a online Quake 3, 64 player 1v1 tournament the other day, and thats only about half the people that actually plays Q3 online.

In Norway I'm guessing about 15-20 people would sign up for a q4 one and it would be a 16man tournament. In q3 with enough hype i guess about .. 30-40 people would sign up, and we'd have 32man tournament ;)

Indeed it is, yet I recon there will even be a lot more people playing Quake 3, on home lans(DSL is very expensive here) or vs bots and on university networks(which usually are shaped so internet pings are shit). I only got dsl lastyear myself, but ive been watching GTV and downloading demos on my 56k modem and lanning with friends now and then. I rate there are still alot of people that are in the situation i was a year ago.

Q3 OSP/VQ3 CPM 1v1 servers - you'll find some good opponents without any problems during all day long and lateness night (even 3-4 p.m)
Q3 OSP TDM - 24/h, honestly.. people here are occupying servers (mostly 194.187.43.245:27961) all night and all day long. It's insane, but it's true.
Q3 CPMA/CPM 1v1 - All day long, but if u can't play very well, u will do nothing. Polish CPMA players are truly insane.

Conclusion: Q3 scene (VQ3/CPMA) is healthy, big, and it's in a very good shape. People are still loving that game.

Q2 TDM - Well.. I would say that Q2 TDM scene is even bigger than Q3's :) Right now, there are 8 servers occupied. Pretty good I would say. You'll find TDM games all day, and all night without any problems :)
Q2 1v1 - The same situation as above. No problems with finding some games.

Conclusion: healthy and quite big despite of Q2 oldness. Q2 <3

Q1 - I don't really now, but when I played it a couple months ago, I didn't have any problems with finding some nice games

Q4 TDM/1v1 - Well, polish scene is like: 15-20 people playing the game, on only few servers (many of them aren't working anymore), which are mostly all day and all night long empty :) I've never played TDM game, cause TDM scene doesn't exist, and there are no people/TDM servers to play with/on (at the beginning there were some clans, but now hardly one of them are still playing). 1v1 - one working server without pass, and still sometimes you've to wait for an opponent for about 30 minutes or so. Q4 besides few elite players (like matr0x, Cs3, rutt, rav, etc.), who attend some few tourneys (i mean very FEW), is DEAD here :} Sad but true.
