you have to help me figure this one out r1ddler. i've seen that omnious cube everywhere, and i even see it sometimes myself. it takes various forms, sometimes alien, sometimes just mysterious and cold, but most often omnious.

so far i've thought of it as a generalization of the monolith that figures in 2001, the book and the movie. in the movie it shows up just as apes figure out how to use tools to enhance themselves.

in this video there also figures these signs, these logico-technological signs, that seem to mix miracle and reason. i've seen the japanese, in art, music, anime, enthusiastically take up the term "paradigm shift" from kuhn.

To me the cube represents "the universal mind" , the thread that links everything and everyone, your are the universal consciousness, but in the dense physical reality, the connection seems blurry or to some completely invisible.
It could represent a higher vibratory plane of existence.
It could represent the passing of our solar system through a "energy field", space isn't empty, everything is connected,and we influenced by such changes.

Those animations seem to represent the flow of life-energy/chi obviously, the negative and the positive energy, the good and the bad, +/- , without which experiencing reality and developing as a spiritual being wouldn't be possible

hmm. universal mind it may be. i'm really feeling the connection to the 2001 monolith. there is a connection to the link below with andrew cohen, because there is a spiritualism with, what should i say, global progression? like evolution is a big spiritual evolution, and everything is gradually leveling up. it's like that spiral dynamics stuff, with epochs being stages, like the famous "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny" it seems like the piaget stages recapitulate the stages of evolution, or the maslow hierachy and all that positive plato's cave type mythological symbolism. and then to unite that with spiritualism that so often is all about ocean of tranquility, to turn creativity into the new good as against that peace, it makes the spiritual world turn a little i think.

monolith , hmm dunno, its measurements may be natural (fibonacci sequence, based on which grandiose temples,cathedrals, pyramids etc have been built) and im sure they are..it very likely has the same basic function as pyramids and obelisks, built on earths grid lines or energy lines (earth energy vortices), emplifing energy (be it positive or negative..) (imho everything is based on sacred geometry, everything has a pattern, there is no absolute chaos)

sounds a lot like quantum mechanics! on the many-worlds interpretation there's this one grand universal wavefunction governing everything O_O

there's also the problem if we consider neurons, electrical signals etc. to be the basis of consciousness to determine the quality of consciousness from a linear, causal process.

here it is easily seen that the structure or feeling of consciousness must arise when different parts of the causal chain that causes consciousness are somehow united.

for consider the stimuli reaching your eye from som object, this electrical signal travels through the optic nerve, and into visual cortical areas, and then eventually in first person you see an apple. so the experience must occur between the stimuli hitting the eye, and the end of the experience. if we chip away at the first part of this causal process, then there must be some point at which the structure or feeling of consciousness changes or gets destroyed. but the same applies if we start chipping away from the end of the process.

so minimally, there's a piece of time that it takes to produce a conscious feeling. and the things that happen at the beginning and and at the ending of this process must somehow be united into one experience one is having, even if they are far apart in time, say, 30 milliseconds or so. but this is amazing and strange :o
