I thought they did the best they probably could with the ending. Been really impressed with TV lately, it's not as absolutely fucking shit as it used to be.

what other shows are you impressed with?

Kings: set in an alternate universe where America has a king (played by Ian McShane), really fucking good.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: used to be shit but the newer episodes are really really good, it's like they've fired all the shit writers and hired some new good ones or something.

Dollhouse: much less shit than I expected, still needs work but it'll probably be cancelled before it really gets going anyway.

Lost: actually feels like I'm not wasting my time at the moment.

South Park: as always :D

Only thing that's really disappointing me at the moment is Heroes, it's shit.

Watched 1-3 of kings, seems like it could be interesting, i wouldnt call it fucking awesome, but definatly watchable!

pretty much agreed..tho i lost interest in SP long time..dunno..it just went too mainstream and the jokes didnt entertain me anymore..

Yeah definitely showed improvement, which is good because I said if this one wasn't better I was just gonna stop, still have a lot of gripes about it though.

Hated the giving up technology part, otherwise OK. The future/now bit with the angels should have been cut and they could have done something better with Kara.

overall the series was ok, some parts were awesome and some were just complete shit. s1 and s2 were good, s3 was awefull, then we came to season 4 which up until about episode 15 was awesome then the last few episodes just fealt like fillers with a load of religious crap thrown in.
s4 seemed to keep building up then just fell to pieces.
as for the end it was ok, as ix said the giving up of technology was a bit shit, and the whole 'THEY WILL LEARN OUR LANGUAGE' bit about the old tribes was a bit wrong =(
the very end was good though.
as for the characters i dont think ive ever watched a character as annoying as kara thrace, having said that baltarr and number 6 were 2 of the best characters ive seen for a while.
glad i watched it but alot of niggles about it.

it was great ending to one of the greatest series i watched.. and i admire the fact they were able to tell a consistent story in the course of 4 seasons and then wrapped it t up.. a lot of shows just fail to resist the money-squeezing urge or/and fail due to writers incapability
this show and especially the characters who were the main focus were superbly written
kara was probably the weakest link which moore admitted, i liked the present day closing and i also think that giving up tech. had kind of understandable motive because of what they have learned since kobol, old earth etc. i was more suprised by that whole solitary mentality after all the shit theyve been through.. to just pack a bag of stuff and leave in small groups.. like adama just has to leave lee and live on a small hill with a grave beside him instead of visiting his son etc.

Finale totally blew. It was the most unexpectedly shitty ending I have ever seen. Religious crap, "start anew", "fake earth", disappearance in the field, "150,000 years later", it was as if a ten year old crapped out an essay for a special ed english class while fapping to teletubbies.

the best bit of BSG was the first movie thingy, also, Gaius Balthar was best in the earlier Seasons...

Yeah deffo, the mini movie was awesome.

Still a good show though and they did some unusual/interesting things with it.

which reminds me, the wire coming to bbc 2 which now means my elitist opinion is now worth shit (as if it was ever worth anything in the first place) because morons are now going to be all over it in a flash

I hated it initially but I think it was the best way to deal with Omar, the Wire tried to keep its stories realistic, Omar's story fits that in the end.

Should have killed the show after S1. They rest was between mediocre and outright crap.
