takes a while for the friction to come. you could try to age it by sanding off the top layer or putting it in the washer and dryer with a load of towels.

see if its your mousefeet as well, you can try removing them or sanding the bottom of your mouse, though depending on the type of plastic it could give it less friction.

You could get my worn Razer Destructor. On the used areas it sticks as hell.

So a used plastic pad sticks.

huh, i thought hard pads get less friction when they got worn down not more. Does anyone know the friction comparison between the 9hd and the scarab? (they don't make destructor anymore and i want a new one).

You may be lucky. I have a worn Destructor and ordered a 4HD. But they will ship it on Monday and I should get it on Wednessday.

I could compare it (of course I would compared the unused outer areas of the destructor)

So I got the 4HD today.
It is definitely rougher and louder than the Razer Destructor. Not as smooth as the Destructor.

Being used to the Destructor, the 4HD kind of feels like a fine sand paper, lol. But it feels a bit faster too.

I just unwrapped the 4HD, so this is only my first impression.

Its also highly depens on the glides of your mouse.

QcK has between medium to high friction and it kinda alittle bit soft and kinda roughy.

The new Zowie gear Pad is high friction and smooth but very thin.

The Raindrop XL is high friction and smooth and quite thick.

the qck is a high friction pad after bout 6 months of use because the material wears down

if you need friction, get a set of dark blue perfectglides from puretrak and a complexity pad.... i found this to have the most friction but not so much it feels like sand paper

Steelseries NP+ has the most friction of the ones mentioned yet. Havent tried the complexity pad though.

try the allsop

have the qck and alot of people say this is a high friction mouse pad but its like ice

some proposals:
- lower your sensitivity if you're below 25 cm
- try the bottom side of your mousepad (the rubber side)
- wash your mousepad with some towels in the machine + dryer

microfiber mousepads provide the most friction out of any pad ive ever used
they also might be the most comfortable mousepads ever made.
havent used one in years, so i forgot how good i was with it
anyone willing to buy one and test out for us?

there is not a single reason why you would want to have a high friction pad
it has zero advantages

low friction just doesn't feel right to me. like some kind of delay/negative acceleration, it's hard to explain.

low friction has less delay than high simply because the mouse is easier to move on the pad

You mean apart from giving control on small movements? High friction doesnt really affect big swipes..

google -> gravel -> win
