I am going to marry this monitor and preserve it forever. Just got home and set it up, settled on 1280x768 at 100hz because any higher refresh rate was making the top of the screen go all fucky. It will do 160hz fine at 800x600 but the top quarter of the screen ends up wrapping around itself or something, it looks really bizarre.

I just hit 84% rail and 33% lg in a FFA on dm6. Even the MG that I was spamming all game hit 38%. My rail over the last few weeks on my old monitor was averaging in the very low 30s, LG in the high 20s, so this is a pretty insane difference.

edit: Hopped on another FFA server. Almost unanimously kicked after one map for "hacking". :D

For someone who's played on and off for the last five years or so, I am astoundingly bad at this game. I have fun though.

A large proportion of the playerbase can't get past 25% LG and have been playing for years. T1, T2, T3 and low T4 CA players... that's like 75% of all QL players right there.

Reading these make me miss my old CRT. Had it 'till late 2012. This BenQ 120hz is nice but ... Just not the same =)

Yeah I was looking at those. That's what I'll probably end up going with once this behemoth dies on me (judging from the screen wrapping going on at the top edge it's been rode hard and put away wet). It'll be a sad day though - this feels more responsive and accurate than any $300+ LCD I've tried.

My workplace has a couple dozen big 22" and I think 24" CRTs that are sitting in a pile in the corner and have been for years. NEC Accusync 120 is the model I believe, no idea if they're any good for gaming or not. Someday a couple of them will wander home with me I guess.

Not that I recognized. Just a fellow neckbeard. Small apartment covered in wiring and pc components. He's in the beta for Dirty Bomb or whatever it is though, said he'd send me a key but I never got anything from him.
