different motherboards can have slightly different fps but it's not usually a massive change.

it can be the motherboard indeed, i had similar experiences and testings results with advanced testing rendering tools. You should not buy Gigabyte or Asrock mobos btw. Asus and EVGA are the bestest iirc.

Look for the advanced testings, some results are blatant. Btw i had various very bad experiences with Gigabyte mobos and Asrock are made with cheap components.

That's an AM2+ board, what kind of a CPU are you using there, and what was the last mainboard?

Also make sure you load optimized default in the bIOS and check if the board sets the HT link frequency correctly, because: if nothing is faulty there, the fps problem could indicate a bandwidth problem somewhere - and since everything was working in the last mainboard -, a memory/cache issue would be my first guess.

yeah it is, I just noticed CPU-z says my HTlink is on 1ghz and according to several websites it should be on 2ghz in phenom x4 9950

Well if it messed up the memory timings, than perhaps my first guess was right and indeed a memory/cache issue.

To save time and neurons, I would advice to go to the official Asrock forum before checking other things, look up the thread of the motherboard and ask the dudes there.

FUCK ME, Shit board doesnt support 2000mhz HT-Link, says 2000MT/s somewhere but apparently that's the same as 1000mhz (im obviously not a computer genious)

Hyper transport is double data rate bus..... nobody was born as a computer genious, so don't be mad at yourself.:)

... well it's not a "bad" board, but it's the cheapest board in the line based on a nforce630 chipset. Its probably designed for simple office use, so you shouldn't expect it to be a gamer/overclocker champ:)

Try to disable "cool and quiet" for a test, and also try enabling "Ganged" mode on the memory controller and see if it helps, but ...

if you just recently bought it online, you could perhaps try to replace it with a "better" one.

ps.: But before you do anything, you should really ask the official forum, I never saw that board in my life, and perhaps there is something specific to that board what we don't know.

Update bios, all drivers, including ahci, network, anything that operates. Do mem tests, cpu tests, gfx tests and compare score to others with same clock and specs.
