I just returned my Deathadder 3500/refresh because I experienced several serious flaws. I use a Qck Heavy with the old Steelseries logo. My old Deathadder works perfectly on it. I'm a low-senser with 53.33 cm / 360°.

The Deathadder 3500 tracks perfectly at 450 and 3500 dpi settings. But it skips a lot at 900 dpi and 1800 dpi when I move the mouse fast e.g. 180° turns. This occured at 500 Hz and 1000 Hz; I didn't test 125 Hz. I used Quake Live (Linux and Win XP) and Quake 4 (Linux) for testing.

Another flaw is that the Deathadder 3500 doesn't remember the 450 dpi setting, it defaults to 900 dpi then. This means that if you set the dpi to 3500, 1800 or 900 the mouse will keep this setting if you plug it into a computer without razer drivers installed. But if you set it to 450 dpi the mouse will run at 900 if you plug it into a computer without razer drivers installed.

Does anyone else experience these problems or did I pick a broken model?
