"QuakeCon has always been an awesome event, but this year it is specially exciting because of the release of Doom3 and the launch of the Fatal1ty motherboard from ABIT. Now that Doom3 is out, gamers are going to need a gaming platform that can handle this new technology. The Fatal1ty motherboard will allow me and my fellow gamers to compete in Doom3 at the highest level" said Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel.

QuakeCon is free to the public and is held every year in the Dallas, Texas area. This year players will be competing on a whole new arena, Doom3, which has just hit store shelves. No one has had time to practice or master the game and with the even playing field almost any QuakeCon attendee could win the tournament and walk away with one of the much anticipated, exclusive Doom3 prizes.

QuakeCon (www.quakecon.org) is sponsored by id Software (www.idsoftware.com), makers of the immensely popular Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein games.
