After the announcement of JeeSports Invitational, JeeSports announced the first JeeSports Open Tournament, on the 19th of March. This tournament is open to anyone wanting to play in this cup, everyone will be randomly seeded and progress in this cup will give you rating points. These points will determine your seed in later stages of the tournament series.

Wanted to remove dm13 as well and perhaps replace it with t9, hektik or even dm6. But we don't want things to get too out of hand. If maps turn out to be a success or not at all choices will be made upon that. Perhaps next cup we will see a different mappool perhaps it'll be the same.

Yes it is a possibility to make a larger mappool, but as pops_ says lower in this post, the downside to new maps is that people must be able to practise them. so adding 1 or 2 maps will be the limit on doing so i believe. So perhaps in cup #2 we will keep the same mappool and change 1 or 2 in #3. Only time will tell!

Imo enough h8 with the old maps. If you don't have much experience with say ztn or dm6, then just drop them (there many maps around). On the other hand, if both players have much experience in those "old" maps, they can enjoy a really nice game in them. Why ruin it for them? Why waste the time that they have spend to learn those maps? Has no logic, just pure hate and selfishness.

I don't disagree, but you can't tell someone what to like and what not.

I mean if 2 ppl like to play on ztn and dm6, you shouldn't force them to play somewhere else. Everybody is different and we should respect that. You don't like old maps, then drop them.

As about the 20 min games, I totally agree to removing dm13. I wouldn't also mind if it stays, but I wouldn't spec a game on it.

I haven't played anything before QL... So u are saying that playing nothing or playing 10 years of Q2, and then starting QL is same??
I doubt u had to learn how to strafe jump and stuff..Any fast paced FPS experience before QL does only good for your gameplay.
Look at Purri and Dahang, do u think they would be so good without years of Q2?

Purri plays Q3 since 99. Dahang pretty much the same. He started with q3 pretty early and later on he started to play q4 on highest lvl. You played Q3 before so u had a little advantage on me. Anyway, you will never be good in any fps so better quit and stop using 30 fake nick names per month cos that wont make you any better. :)

I had advantege over you right..I got i-net 2 years back, so much about my advantage. Actually u played more q3 than i have and you played it before, u were just fakenicking cuz everybody owned u..

I'm also not saying ztn is perfect as it is, it's just the best we got.
Neither am I saying hektik is all bad, it just feels too unbalanced to me the way it is right now.

hektik is unique & fun to watch...thats reason enough...most other maps tend not to be like: 6-0 -> 6-6 -> 6-8 -> 10-8

Rapha loves hektik he said that in a interview, he said it was very similar to dm6 where you had to be really good at playing out of control and one of the most complex.

Yea. Get rid of dm13 and ZTN and add in more rush maps.

Give it a few months and the same people calling for dm13 and ztn to be removed will be saying hektik/toxicity/concrete palace are too brainless rush maps and we need more tactical maps.

Also, there needs to be more new maps in the map pool otherwise they'll just be tossed out. Doubt we'll see any of the later games being played on Concrete Palace or Battleforged, even with the bo5 rule.
