actually I feel like top lane is a bit imba on dm6tmp, I've seen some games with crazy rushing from armour to armour, but I can very well imagine how it's getting dominated from guy on upper level :<

well... one rj up to bridge is all it takes to lose that 50 armor you just got. not to mention if the other guy hits a rail...

anyway, i remember having lots of close games on that map where one mistake towards the end was all it took to lose. i also remember seeing some very close games between the top tier players of that time (czm vs doomer and blue vs fatality comes to mind.)

I mean you can stay upper and control upper ya, and deal damage easier to guy picking lower ya than vice versa. :<

though lower level has shards and a 50 health, also when the guy who controls upper ya goes to grab it, there's plenty of room for rails as well as the possibility to go to rl for the other guy, thereby securing bridge (more or less.)

Yes, ideally MG would be 4 damage I think, Resurrection (?) used 3 which was probably too low. I've suggested this repeatedly to id for QuakeLive but for some reason they're sticking with 5 damage MG which we already know is ridiculous.

Hear hear, mustve said it a hundred times in forums and on irc, unfortunately loud noobs in the forum wants a MG with a higher dmg value, that might be irrelevant though, but really, lower mg dmg ffs, its slightly too powerful!

I think they used 2, which was certainly too low, but still better than 5 (although 5 isn't horrible in 2vs2, as this was.)

4 or 3 would be my guess for the best possible value, could try 4 at first and see if anything (*cough* q3mg7 *cough*) changes.

Or just drop q3dm7/pro-q3dm6 as those are the maps were it's totally ridiculous.

Yeah as it is both are pretty horrid as 4v4 maps.

qlan2 used 3 in the ctf tourney and it was still too high, but then again that's ctf..
