after playing tons of custom maps on my private server over the years, id say these are teh best maps ive come across

pukka3tourney3-very complex and so much inventive things to come up with.

n3beta5- made by noctis, so u know he knows what hes doing:) truely a amazing design!!! every game feels really fresh here.

astronomybeta- ya i know theres a full version out but i fell in love with this beta for vq3. the easy access of getting around and it just makes players really work for there wins as they always gotta be thinking about prediction rockets and stuff:P

there is also a final version of my map ( http://lvlworld.com/#c=m8&i=1964 ) tho i wouldn't say its really any good for duel (it has good potential to produce 0-0 overtime games)

seriously a bunch of good online events with a new map or two with the likes of t4/dm6 dropped and ESWC will pick it up

Right now I'm working on our new team site, and I'll also be managing it. I was going to do Quake 3 tournaments with prizes (Ranging from products to strait cash, nothing too major)

After hearing a bit of this, if there's enough of a response, I'll use a new map pool taken from a community.

hmm I really like the layout but I think the long corridors combined with the railgun will make this map quite a snipefest with vq3 gameplay

I think I will determine maps for the first rounds, so people don't only play the pukka-maps.
Gameplay will be vq3.
It will be a "one-afternoon-cup" (15:00-22:00) on the sunday after Dreamhack (7. December).
I'm hoping for 32 players. There will be a proper newspost in a few days.

Include links to downloads for the map, also megadm4-07 is out BUT, I believe megamn said something about it not playing right.

Also, instead of using puka5 or puka2, you could give a new map a try, pukka2 has been played in tourney's people know what it's like, so try out the other maps and chose 4 good ones.

(I personally don't really like the pukkamaps gameplaywise)

Most people seem to prefer vq3 and that's why I'll use vq3 for the first cup.
I want as much people as possible playing the new maps and some will probably be overstrained with getting used to new maps and new gameplay. ;)
