That's why. You've tried it and you liked it. If other will do maybe it will succeed to switch. As till tonight there wasn't even a server to try it. Noone is forcing anyone to play it untill he wants to.

but the ctf people are much more sensitive about the movement. like for the ctf pq-cup there were like 3 teams :/ and we asked them why they dont wana play; they sad cuz of the movement

Well this is the first step hopefully...and now its only going to take Clanbase or Jolt to update then the rest will fall into place...

OSP 1.03 should be ditched for OSP 1.40 on all servers

People just need to copy over their osp config to the CPMA dir then jump on and try the server...all the CTF jumps are the same eg CP9 mid crossing etc..

No more ping whines, bigger player community, you can play versus more clans from further abroad which is only a good thing without being affected by ping.

Clanbase especially should take note since it suits their model the most. Clans and admins will waste less time on "server searching" and more time on playing the actual game...

Jolt would hopefully benefit from more clans participating from further abroad in Europe and make it a more equal competition.

Why even care?
"People that just play for fun" are on *baseq3* servers for the most part, and don't even know about our "competitive" world.
ClanBase drive the EU comp scene, and yes, they'll be ClanBase-ish. But so what? If you just want to have a decent pickup game in the evening, you only need a dozen "regulars" and you've got two already.

there are a lot of ppl that arent in any clan and are just joining osp public servers and play tdm or ctf, i meant those.

and i dont just want a pickup, id really love to play cpma vq3 in every league and dont have to start osp anymore :/

Correct me if i'm wrong, but your mode config should be:

type 4
gameplay vq3
weaponrespawn 5
timelimit 20
teamdamage 0
overtime 2
items -BFG

I removed the settings that are the same as the base config and the ones taken care of by "gameplay vq3". Also I believe overtime should be 2. (0=Sudden Death, 1=Overtime, 2=End in draw)

Makes it much tidier, I think.

Ye had noted them already, a prob atm is that the teams keep locking and players have to request unlocks

ppl wont play there liek they do on osp ctf 1+2 because q3 is too old for that imo. u could try anda drop by #spontanctf on quakenet, and put it as the default pickup server.
