This past Saturday marked the first time the Cyber Square Alliance would venture into the QUAKE 4 world, bringing their LAN / Center-to-Center event concept to the QUAKE 4 community. web2zone(New York) and Net Heads(Indianapolis) would be the first to host simultaneous QUAKE 4 LAN tournaments followed by a Center-to-Center finale with the victors of each tournament. Competitors battled for cash and prizes furnished by SteelSeries and PNY.
At web2zone, 10 competitors were in attendance for web2zone's second official QUAKE 4 tournament. Many familiar faces, such as

/
b|d-Clamp-ok,
geoff,
ENE|vamp1re and new faces such as shadow and z-on were on hand. Clamp however was once again favored to take home the top prize of both the LAN and Center-to-Center finals. With
x6-dj and
x6-bio missing in action, the question of who would be able to challenge clamp's reign was open ended. Clamp easily breezed through the upper bracket but was finally challenged in the upper bracket finals by vamp1re. clamp barely escaped in the waning minutes of PHRANTIC scoring 4 times to win 10-6 to take the set. Clamp would go on to face vamp1re once again in the finals and bring him down once again.
At Net Heads, nine competitors were in attendance for Net Heads first ever QUAKE 4 event.
Infinitas would go undefeated throughout the tournament by defeating the likes of
u5-KO and
dripnotiC to take first place.
With the finalists set, Clamp and infinatas faced off on Hi-Definition Gaming Servers for the additional grand final prizes. Clamp however proved to be too much for Infinitas as he overwhelmed him on galang and phrantic with scores of 34-3 and 40-4.
Final standings and brackets can be found
