Hi ESR. I know a few people were excited about the redesigned shape of the zowie FK 2014 edition. I recently picked one up and I haven't seen any content on it so I wanted to give my first thoughts.
Other zowie mice i've used: AM, FK(v1), ec2
Other non zowie mice: WMO, 1.1, 3.0, mx518,

I really like the changes that they made with the 2014. Anybody that liked the original fk but felt it was more of a CS mouse due to its outer point shape will be happy. This feels very similar to the AM I had in terms of shape and size, but the coating is different.

I personally had problems with the original FK coating - hands got too sweaty for the surface. I have been using this mouse for about a week and have had 0 issues with that so far. Most def an improvement.

I had the sensor skip once so far, im using a QCK heavy. I think it was stuff on the pad though, haven't been able to recreate it since.

I also believe there is a mousewheel bug in this like the WMO's. Seems to be pretty jumpy and if not a bug it is VERY sensitive to movement.

I was previously using a WMO for the last few months and can say that this has been a positive change for me. I have small hands so the shape feels better, as well as the coating on the mouse, and the chord isn't so damn thick. Overall I give this a 9/10

Just wanted to discuss what everyone thought about the different MX switches and which are best for quake.

Personally i own two mechanical keyboards, a MX red & Black

I feel with the reds I tend to have A shittier dodge and that the black seem to move more with the flow and speed of quake.

IMO 3.0 legends edition - Hyperglide skates. Used it briefly when CSGO came to see if I wanted to play the game seriously. Has factory packaging. Flawless working condition, no scratches dings or marks. -40$

SK 1.1 - Hyperglide skates. Miraculous condition. Bought in winter of 2012 and has sat in a bag since then. -30$

MX518 1600dpi 5 feet (old style) - Brand new & unused replacement shell. Unused Hyperglide mouseskates. Basically restored this mouse and never used it. If your looking for a old style mx518 you will not find a nicer one anywhere else. -50$

Sennheiser HD555's - Heavily used for 1 year. Small stress fracture cracks on both sides. Still in 100% working condition -40$

Razer kraken - Got these when I started work for a company. Quickly realized that due to my weirdly shaped ears that they wern't for me. Brand new basically. -50$

Quakecon edition Logitech g400 - 1 of a box full (25-40 I guess) Never been plugged into a computer, brand new in the bag. -200$

SK mousepad - Slightly used. Small stain on it. Like new otherwise. $10

Anyone that has a current WMO, if you are looking to have a nicer shell, pick one of these up for 22$ and replace it.

Anyone buying this to use: beware possible cheap/shitty Chinese like 5-10 chance its ok.

What pro players other than evil using low sensitivity?

Just wanted to bring this to the community's attention; I know they are harder and harder to find on websites other than ebay/aliexpress etc. There are black and white WMO's in stock @ amazon right now from another seller. Been scouting for awhile and this is the first i've seen of them

I own a WMO, 1.1 and 3.0. All of the chords are stiff as fuck and can be a really big pain in the ass. Does anyone have any tricks to making them more flexible?
