cheap mouse with better sensor (27 comments)
Posted by raumschiffkomandant @ 07:41 CST, 7 November 2015 - iMsg
which mouse to get that would be relatively cheap and has best sensor as possible?

i dont really care about extra buttons or anything else pretty much as long as its cheap and it has a high malfunction speed (+ no built in accel/smoothing)

hard but thin mouse surface (1 comment)
Posted by raumschiffkomandant @ 16:59 CDT, 5 April 2015 - iMsg
i use my sphex stapled on some cheap soft mouse pad. that way mouse doesn't hit a hard surface when i lift it and put it again on the surface while playing and you benefit from both hard surface and the soft pad beneath it. since hard surfaces gives you alot more smoothness (especially with mouses that have bigger skates), this is the best combination i've had. it's almost frictionless.
i recommended to try it
but my sphex kind of wore off and i'm now looking to buy a new thin surface which is larger than sphex and hopefully single colored. can you guys recommend me one? (i'm hoping to use it with my g400)

hi
what do you think about a game idea that is combining "pql/cpma movement (bhop possibilities)","warsow dash/wall jump(or walldash)","xonotic/nexuiz grappling hook" together? would it sound interesting to you fellow gamers?

is it better to not having it installed?

i'd rather have it to use my g100s work @ custom dpi steps, as long as the software doesnt have a negative effect

New monitor suggestion (7 comments)
Posted by raumschiffkomandant @ 10:15 CDT, 10 July 2013 - iMsg
Hi there,
I own an Asus g73sw (w/ gtx 460m) which has HDMI and VGA ports.

I bought a VG248QE for 120hz lightboost stuff. But apparently HDMI doesnt support 1080p@120hz. So, I'm about to return it.

Here I am asking for another display suggestion which has lowest input lag possible. Please correct me if I am wrong but afaik, I'll have to go with a 60hz display since I don't have a DVI Dual channel port, or a DisplayPort.

I do 3D modelling as well as gaming (QL, Warsow mostly), so I'm gonna need at least a 24" one. I'll quite happily go with a 27" however, I can always run games in windowed mode.

Need an affordable display suggestion (22 comments)

Hey, i know there are plenty of monitor threads out here but I believe none of them are really about +/-200$ ones.

I currently play a couple FPS games and use a few 3D modeling softwares. Therefore my CRT (LG F900B) plugged in to my 17" laptop setup becomes kind of insufficient.

And I cannot afford most of the displays mentioned on ESR HW threads.

Can you please suggest me something affordable which i can use for both FPS games and big enough to enjoy 3D softwares(about 23-24")? It doesnt have to be a 120-144 hz display (i think), though i dont even know if there is such product qualifies for me. I'm quite outdated when it becomes to dispaly technologies (hence the CRT setup i am using).

I am using an Nvidia GTX460 card and don't know if that Lightboost thing is useful even at 60hz displays.

g400 sensor into wmo (9 comments)
Posted by raumschiffkomandant @ 05:12 CDT, 13 July 2012 - iMsg
ive bought a non prediction g400 and im loving its optical sensor, its absolutely awesome.

but the weight really bothers since ive been using an abyssus which is probably one of the lightest mice. so i was wondering if theres any chance to place this neat sensor into a wmo.

would it fit into the wmo without any sandings or hard modifications?

(havent opened the shell of my g400 yet to check, coz of the warranty)
