okay. so 5 razer diamondback mice died on me. it was an ok mouse, i felt comfortable with it. then i got two razer abyssus and while i feel that that's the perfect mouse for me, the left mouse button broke after using it 2-3 months on both mice.

i got enough of razer mice. so i finally bought my first logitech mouse, the g400. and while i kinda like it after a few hours of quake, there's one thing that drives me crazy: why, OH WHY are there buttons that let's me change the dpi ON TOP OF THE MOUSE?
who the hell switches the dpi on the fly? why situate those buttons above and below the scroll wheel? why would someone who designes a mouse suited for gaming position buttons in such a way that it's very easy to press them on accident and then even make those buttons change the dpi?

i have not installed any drivers. i can't change the function of those buttons.
now i could install the drivers, which might enable me to change the function of those buttons. but the driver seems to be a piece of shit.
do i really have to disassemble the mouse and disconnect the buttons by hand and void the warranty?

the left mouse button is fucked. some plastic shit just broke off. it died while playing quake. apparently it couldn't handle my shaft.
that's the SEVENTH razer mouse that stopped working after less than a year of usage. i had five diamondbacks and one copperhead (lol, copperhead).

my new computer somehow can't handle a wmo and freezes all usb devices when i use it.

i could try a logitech mouse, but i don't like spending money on something i've never used. also dislike the form of logitech mice.

hi, i just got my 2233rz.
scaling doesn't work, i want to use the native screen resolution of 1680x1050 in windows and for quake i want to stretch my 800x600 ql resolution to fill the screen while maintaining aspect ratio. i can get it to work when i set my windows resolution to anything other than the native resolution, but i don't want that.
also there's no option for 120hz, not even on native res.

i miss the old days: going out with friends on the weekend and coming home at 4am to play some pickups.

to be honest, i often hurried to get home, just so i wouldn't miss the pickup action going on (i played ra3). but since everyone switched to quakelive, i'm quite disappointed, seeing there's no one online and there's no real active pickup community anymore. the ways i see it, quakelive killed the irc/pickup community.

also, i was really good playing ra3 when i was drunk. but playing ql while being drunk is shit.

I've been working on this for quite a while now and didn't want to go public with it until I got it to a state I'm satisfied with, but I kinda lost my interest now.

It's almost done, just need to implement the GUI for the Serverfilter stuff (http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/5056/qlbfilter.png) and some small things, but I recently lost my interest in quakelive.

I might finish it if there's enough interest in it and I get motivation enough.
Also if there's a skilled programmer out there who is willing to help me out with it I'd be happy, cause this is the largest project I've done so far.

Tired of the same few QuakeLive Clan Arena maps, old European RA3 community member Facia decided to give Rocket Arena another chance by resurrecting the old German pickup channel #ra3pickup.de.
To get Clan Arena players to return to the old Quake3 mod, he's giving out 30€ every 3 months to the player who played the most pickups over this course of time.
