two frustrating quake live bugs (98 comments)

I have reported these two bugs numerous times since I was a beta in quake live and they were just ignored.

Rocket jumps randomly fuck up (they wont knock you up as high as it should). Has happened in more than two matches by professionals that I have seen. Probably has to do with netcode.

Knockbacks randomly knock you forward. After getting hit by LG or plasma in the face I will randomly get pushed forward instead of what is supposed to be backwards. Most frustrating thing when it pushes me off a ledge or something.

Fix this shit. It's been way too long .

Duplicate These Displays monitor problem (13 comments)

I recently bought a hdtv and wanted to hook it up to my PC have it duplicate the display on my monitor and my tv.

For some reason only when I choose duplicate these displays my tv has video tearing problems. If I set it to only use my TV or extend both monitors the tearing is gone.

I've been trying to figure out how to use duplicate displays without the tearing with no luck. any help or information is appreciated, thanks.

I usually don't like RPGs, but I did enjoy playing Fable years ago on my XBOX. I read a few reviews on this new game and decided to check it out. I'm only an hour or so in and I can tell it's going to be another rare single player game that I'll want to finish. The graphics aren't amazing but I really like the artistic style and atmosphere of it. Seems like a lot of reading unfortunately but most of it is actually enjoyable to read suprisingly.

Has anyone else started playing this game?

Capped refresh rate in windows 7?? (34 comments)

Okay so I recently had problems in vista with refresh rates but found a workaround using nvidia's custom resolution settings.. same with windows 7 RC but I only got my 800x600 res working and 640x480 was still being capped at 60.

Today I updated to windows 7 final and I'm having MORE problems with the refresh rate. Now it's capping both resolutions to 85 and the nvidia custom res settings are ALSO capping it at 85 now.

I tried downloading ReForce and surprisingly it actually worked.. I had my monitor at 800x600 res using 120hz finally!

I then went to restart my PC and when windows loaded again it was back to capped. ReForce no longer worked and I'm going crazy.

The "Hide modes not supported by monitor" option in windows monitor settings is disabled/grayed out even though I have the monitor driver.

any help would be appreciated since I'm done trying to find a fix for this bullshit..

It seems like every update of windows and/or nvidia is getting worse for refresh rates.. do they not know ppl still use CRTs or what?
