Due to some recent messages that walter has sent to myself and others, I'm fearful that walter may attempt to commit suicide soon. This post is not meant to be funny so please see it as a request for help. I don't have any contact information of walter's other than his full name Walter Outlaw. He appears to be unlisted. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts, his address, if he has any relatives, his phone number please either send me an instant message or contact him ASAP.

I'm thinking that contacting his local police station or contacting a relative would be best. If there is any admin who can look up his ip address or see if he provided any further information when signing up, please do so immediately. I don't know how much time there is.

* 7/15 * I have heard from someone reliable that walter is still alive. It seems he is working through a rough period right now, hopefully everything turns out alright for him.

Windows 7 + Nvidia + Quake3 (11 comments)

Is anyone else having issues with resolution scaling on LCDs? I typically use a 4:3 aspect ratio when playing q3/ql but I'm running into an issue where it seems like I have greater input lag in win7 64bit as opposed to xp. I think the issue is that the nvidia drivers are not doing the scaling, my monitor is. In the nvidia control panel when I try to turn on nvidia fixed aspect-ratio scaling, it just returns right back to monitor scaling after I click apply.

If anyone knows a solution please let me know. A similar problem may have existed in vista, any information from vista users could also be helpful. I'll update this post with a solution when I find one.

Hi, with the announcement of that tourneycpm dmm4 tournament I decided to bring my 2nd unique dmm4 map to a level of completion worthy of playing. I may eventually go back and add some details in if I get the time but the gameplay is all finished.

Tried to give this map a little bit of strategy by adding two yas below the arena in a pool of water with portals dropping from the ceiling. Should keep people slightly more on edge and might lead to games SLIGHTLY less based on aim. Have fun.

Here is a brand new aim map I've been working on for the past few days. It's designed for CPM gameplay but it works well in vq3 also. Three main concepts being focused on here, air rockets, stair combat and water combat. Since the spawn's are at the ceiling I've added in a delay between spawning in and receiving health and armor, so, if you hit an air rocket within .75 seconds of your opponent spawning they will die.

Spawn Items:
Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, Shotgun
*WAIT .75 seconds* Mega Health, Red Armor

Someone bumped this thread with a thanks and I noticed all the links broken. Updated the links and added vdmm4_01 to the group. A new dmm4 I did awhile ago with a water filled base and some stairs for some hot action. Most interesting of all is that the spawns are in mid air at the ceiling. There is a delay to receive health and armor when you spawn, allowing for instant kill air rockets.
