The configs was a mess tought, i helped snelvovve with some configs.
Every player "removed" all other configs etc when they used their own. so snelvovve kinda went trought all computers recycle bin etc to find so much as he did.
will there also be more duel demos?
would love to see cypher strenx 3-0, because justin.tv even sucks with vods for me, dl speed of 80kb, god knows why.
.The qzconfig or whatever ARE the fucking original cfgs that many of the players carry around. They can't be arsed to maintain a proper one.
.The noctis/fox/q3 based cfg still contain pretty much everything as long as you're not a dumbfuck and manage to sort shit out.
.The " contaminated " cfgs still contain the most important settings, you're not gonna wake up with leprosy tomorrow because you won't know exactly what crosshair somebody uses for his chaingun.
I thought cg_filter_angles was disabled? I also play with m_filter 1 atm - I might just turn it off and see if my aim increases as it is suppose to decrease mouse lag, right? I wonder how much though. If is is just 2ms then screw it.
no it still works, try cg_filter_angles 300, u will see the diff when u move ur mouse, 0.03 should do something, but im still not sure what exactly it would help.
m_filter 0 used to feel like shit for me, 1 felt smoother, while not as precise. Since the update 0 feels as smooth as 1 but more precise, so i can see why ppl switched to 0 now, except stermy switched to 1.
Read some stuff.. stermy said Cg_filter_angles 0.03 gives him smooth mouse feeling when trying very tiny movements however he only uses it when he plays on windows 7 because some shit in reg doesnt feel right for him.
And on XP he uses filter_angles 0 and m_filter 0. So i think m_filter 1 is probably also because he had to play on windows 7 on the tournament computers.
anyway im using 0 for it, cant feel a diff at all (im on xp)
glad i checked all these cfgs though, my aim finally stabilized after stealing all the good parts from tox/stermy/strenx/linkin/k1llsen cfgs, 60 rail 40 lg a lot more now.
I think 1 is controversial enough, as you are adding inputs that do not come from the mouse. It should be bad, but there's enough strong players using it to prove that it is unquestionably no hindrance.
As for cg_filter_angles it adds a delay between when your player turns and when your view camera turns to meet the new position. It then smooths the path between the two points. This should be even worse than m_filter because you're asking the game to show you a slightly delayed view. Low values (like stermy's 0.03) provide the best chance for any benefit. It does make your view smoother, but at the cost of some truth.
